This research project explored the nature and meaning of doing and being through biblical and literature research and utilized a grounded theory field study to examine the critical factors related to the doing to being boundary and transition. Robert Clinton. A qualitative, phenomenological study was conducting using Moustakas' (1994) modified Van Kaam method. The study explored lived experiences with the objective of developing an innovative formation model. The study resulted in the development of formation concepts which would support Christian men who are attempting to live out their full redemptive potential. All of the pastors studied were graduates of Piedmont Bible College, and all were veterans of more than 25 years in ministry. Clinton's five focal points are leadership perspective, learning posture, mentoring relationships, seasons of spiritual renewal, and specific discipline in ministry crises. The projects finds that these pastors perceive significant value in these focal points and practice them well.
