The author organized and led the related practical project with was a series of reflection sessions on the characteristics of New Testament Community and how these informed what it means 'to be' the Church today. the related preaching for Sunday worship concurrent with these reflection sessions was on the Bible as story in the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospels of Mark. This project was the first step towards achieveing the larger vision of these congregations as pro-active communities of loving relationships, with God, each other and the whole created order, who are called to witness to the Gospel in a continually changing society and culture."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127271383236608,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:41:16.133Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:51:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:49:23Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"df46ff1e-3c14-47da-808f-2c93ce7caa9b","accessControl_ssim":["a56d508e-8c76-4e89-9b36-4a46aed8f501"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["How returning short-term missions volunteers impact the local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:51:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:31:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7aa3fd87-5d09-42a3-a7af-1615893ace20"],"hasLease_ssim":["b6633f98-f3b1-4c97-9b5b-b2ab72877a39"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Covenant Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Nelson Jennings"],"year_tesim":["2003"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Robert Eugene Lingle"],"publisher_tesim":["Covenant Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Congregations","Missionaries, Lay","Protestant churches--Missions","Fellowship--Religious aspects--Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Volunteer short-term missionaries serving in another culture make a positive impact upon their local church. The project weaves together two major elements in order to reach this goal. The first involves the development and implementation of a retreat specifically designed for cell group leaders. The purpose of this multi-day retreat is to provide cell leaders with a cognitively richer and experientially broader foundation regarding koinonia. The second major element of the project involves an eight-week period of time, immediately following the retreat, in which retreat participants will apply what was learned and experienced on the retreat in the setting of their particular cell groups. Building on the foundation laid during the retreat, cell group leaders should be able to more effectively foster and encourage the development of community within their groups. This project will be evaluated with the purpose of further implementing an ongoing system of developing koinonia within the cell group ministry of Clearpoint Church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132456131231744,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:03:40.694Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:20:29Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:20:11Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"5818857e-eeee-4987-b050-555285812874","accessControl_ssim":["756ff0a4-ef99-407e-bb9e-14d22231144b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Concretizing koinonia in the congregation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:20:28Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:43:02Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9d618127-bc2a-42b2-8015-54a40ab2e316"],"hasLease_ssim":["2da09081-1d26-4986-a618-5f29b59b3f73"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"advisor_tesim":["Kenneth Haugk"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Thomas L Schoenherr"],"publisher_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"subject_tesim":["Communities--Religious aspects","Fellowship--Religious aspects--Christianity","Church group work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The development of community in the congregation begins where God shares all things in common with his people, the Lord's Supper.
