This is a comprehensive approach to reducing and eliminating obesity and food diseases in Christians through fasting, eating well, and exercise. The research method utilized for this project was a 31 day program that increased the spiritual growth of the thirty-six people in the areas of intellectual capacity about food, convictions, and conduct in a verifiable manner that is statistically significant. The frequency and range of church kitchen use was studied by surveys and interviews of 29 churches across 10 denominations. Kitchen operations, food preparation, kitchen utility, and the connections between the kitchen and the pulpit were studied. This project creates a Christian practice of wine tasting. This report explores biblical, historical, liturgical, and cultural aspects of wine and describes a Christian practice of wine tasting that provides experiences of authentic community and theological reflection. It uses original research using the Participatory Action Research model for qualitative research in which members of a research cohort participate in the development of the model as they actively engage in the practice.
