In each is an element of uncontrollable mystery: one's vulnerability at font and table, one's lack of control in transitional moments, and one's chutzpah in preaching God's Word.  She concluded that, in times of transition, the preacher should focus on the goodness of God and the mysteries of God, rather than trying to force a premature resolution. It is ultimately up to the transient to make a decision about what needs to be done, but at times it is very difficult to know what one must do.  The pastoral counselor becomes an important person who can help clarify options.  This is a case study of a Marine who received a bad conduct discharge from the US Marine Corps after being accused of being the instigator of his own accident.  His behavior became antisocial.
