The participants acquired the skills to effectively minister to parents coping with prenatal loss. However, there is little in the literature that acknowledges grief as spiritual in nature and it is notable how seldom parents engage, or are engaged by, faith communities as they grapple with their faith concerns.  From interviews of eight bereaved mothers of a perinatal loss, three key spiritual concerns are identified and discussed: faith crisis, isolation, and forgetting.
