Three examples of successful adoptions were studied in a multiple case study design. The researcher's thesis was that by studying past church adoptions we can begin to understand, describe, and possibly even quantify a process that will lead to more successful adoptions in the future. Results describe optimal conditions and best practices, as well as a framework based on John Kotter's Eight Steps for Leading Change. The literature and the interviews that this author researched and conducted both proved that prayer plays an important role in sustaining the moral integrity that is necessary in the ministry of the leading pastor. Chapter 1 describes the ministry context and challenges GCF has faced, while Chapter 2 provides a survey of literature on multi-site churches and ecclesiology. Chapter 3 establishes the theological and ecclesiological foundation of a New Testament church. It discusses the biblical basis of a multi-site church, the seven key theological concepts in the Old and New Testaments relevant to the life of a local church, and provides a biblical definition of the church. The first phase explored the fields of multigenerational worship and strategic planning. The first part of the second phase required the project director to equip the pastoral staff of FBCM in the basic skills of strategic planning and to inform them concerning the dynamics of multigenerational worship. The second part of the second phase required the project director to lead the pastoral staff team to develop a strategy to transition FBCM from venue worship to a multigenerational worship model. Phase three resulted in the deacon fellowship and church council of FBCM approving the strategic plan and the time line for implementation. As a result of this project in ministry, the director expanded his knowledge of strategy development and enhanced his skills in designing effective multigenerational worship
