As a former research engineer who concentrated on robotics research work for NASA Johnson Space Center, I aim to integrate my science and ministry background by using this book as a tool for apologetics and evangelism. This bilingual pictorial guide contains seventy full color pages with over one hundred color pictures or photographs; the companion DVD is a narrated commentary. It presents the latest findings on fine-tuning in the universe through astrophysics/cosmology from a theistic worldview and quotes from prominent scientists who support evidence for the cosmic fine-tuning of the universe. The target readers are educated ethnic Chinese. Thirty pre-published prototype copies were printed; volunteers were recruited to evaluate the book and DVD from Clear Lake Chinese Church and four other congregations in East Asia to form a broader test base. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were distributed with the book and DVD. A total of one hundred and twenty-three test samples were collected. Comparing the pre-test and post-test data showed that readers gained a statistically significant improvement in their understanding and capability to depend the compatibility between science and faith."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130969078497281,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:40:02.530Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:46:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:23:08Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"15a08960-1ebd-48b1-b548-27094b07830b","accessControl_ssim":["ca9cb329-99ce-4b2a-a567-8093a7f40c1b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Residual effects on university studentsof exposure to creation-based explanations during their pre-college years"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:46:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:45:27Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["eb94b472-0677-48dc-8a36-8d95d8140b10"],"hasLease_ssim":["162e0834-c360-45e0-ae90-4d7dd5db22d9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Jerry C Wofford"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["David A Steen"],"keyword_tesim":["Religion and science--History of controversy"],"publisher_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Students--Religious life","Religion and science","Creationism"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project evaluated effects on collegiate spiritual activity of secondary science education. The three models are: science vs religion; science as religion; and religion or theology as science. There is, then, a discussion of the dialogue past, present, and a suggested future of the dialogue. The heart of the project is the theological integration of the concepts and ideas that come from the literature together with reflection upon these by the author. The most important thread for future reflection is the concept of dialogue within the postmodern setting. It is in the postmodern world that security and truth can be part of religion as well as science. With the realization that even science is a set of relative truths, humankind can be free of the need for certainty as such. This freedom can lead us to even greater horizons of security within the truth of the faith. Our freedom from the need for certainty in religious truths can allow humankind to be free to say the 'yes' to all creation that creation's God empowered us to say."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["0f245891-e4c1-47d9-842b-9aefbafae138"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135260718661633,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:48:15.357Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":14,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
