The church has endured years of decline and internal strife.Incorporating data collected from congregational surveys, focus group feedback, and personal interviews, this study demonstrates that having the Lord’s Supper every week for twelve weeks resulted in a measurable improvement in the congregation’s sense of unity, as well as an increased sense of God’s presence in the worship services. The future of our churches and society will be decided on how we care and raise them up as responsible, God-fearing individuals in the present time. Our world is getting smaller with the passing of time. It has become a global village where every crazy thing going on around can be felt in an instant with the media culture getting hold of every nook and corner of many young minds. Immorality has become an accepted norm; sexual assaults have become an uncommon part of daily news, broken homes in every corner of the streets, divorce due to infidelity of spouses, the list goes on. These are not new phenomena anymore, and the church has become a silent witness to many of these abominations.Sadly, many of these problems are related to misunderstanding, misinterpretation, and mismanagement of human sexuality. Nepalese society has her share of issues related to all these happenings as well. Therefore, with a concern to heal as well as protect the young people who will be our future from becoming degraded human beings, and the zeal to raise them to be Christ-like disciples, following His ways in living holy and acceptable lives before God and man, I devoted my time and energy to explore and research as to how to benefit them. There is a discussion of the meaning of the priesthood, basing Bible and Catholic Church documents, and its challenges and demands. Importance of positive psychology in the spiritual journey is also studied. The interview responses have guided the development of this thesis in this direction. The author grewup in a Christian home and found Jesus at seventeen years old, and his spiritualgrowth was slow and steady for many years, but then stagnation set in. It was inthis period that he was introduced to spiritual disciplines, which answered hispersonal questions about spiritual growth, as their practice was the path tocontinuous, long-term spiritual growth. How do we communicate with God? How do we know what He is saying? Through the process of writing her spiritual autobiography during the COVID-19 pandemic, the researcher discovered that communication with God occurs when people 1) intentionally take time to listen to God, and 2) use the disruption of life as an occasion to contemplate their relationship with Him. Researching models of spiritual formation and looking at patterns in literature resulted in the creation of a five-part spiritual formation model of change. This model proposes that the ability to listen to God is a key aspect of spiritual formation. An action learning research project conducted with soldiers of The Salvation Army revealed that meeting biweekly one-on-one with a spiritual director to learn and engage in spiritual practices had a positive effect on the participants’ ability to listen to God.
