Other areas focused on their loyalty to bosses, the importance of a company's values and social practices, and their preferences about working independently of collaboratively.     Members of an American college ministry were surveys using an online survey tool. Based on 261 surveys, 85 percent chose servant leadership as their preferred style. It was concluded that a values-based approach to planning made the most sense as it relates to fostering a balance to the typical top down approach present in most Pentecostal circles. This approach was appealing because it allowed everyone to contribute to the planning process, leading to a shared vision. The values-based approach was subjected to a series of tests: theological and experiential. The theological revolved around an analysis of biblical themes of planning and their impact upon a values-based approach. The experiential consisted of an interview process of data collection which led to the discovery of personal and corporate values within BCOG. Volunteers expressed a value for experiencing a sense of belonging, welcoming new persons onto ministry teams, experiencing a sense of shared leadership, the importance of pastoral leadership, and strong biblical motivations for ministry. Matthew"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Exploratory reserach was conducted to generate a descriptive summary of the coaching philosophies within the sport of football. A literature review and survey revealed two primary philosophies coaches have employed: principle- and performance-based. The researcher investigated the principle-based approach, primarily because of the values these coaches shared. The principle-oriented group contained a subset that articulated a biblical focus. A series of interviews was conducted to discover what connection biblically-based coaches might have with the leadership of Christ. The results suggested that coaching could function as a form of discipleship. This led to an exegetical investigation of the Gospel of Matthew. The result was the identification of a set of values and practices that helped Christian coaches better connect their faith with their profession. Although fingers are being pointed in all directions, no one seems to want to take responsibility for the collapse.  The church has become an organization that treats symptoms, but continues to overlook the problem.  This thesis will look past those symptoms in order to obtain a clear diagnosis of the underlying problem that exists in the church today.  It will be discovered that polarization is that problem.  It is the byproduct of years of theological, doctrinal, and missional conflict between the two dominant political polarities of the church: the progressive liberal polarity and the conservative evangelical polarity. It will be discovered that the agendas of each polarity are guided by a long established set of intrinsic core values.
