The primary purpose of this phenomenological study is to capture and describe their lived experiences from an emic perspective by conducting a one-year field research that utilized a sequential procedure of applying mixed research methods. The researcher discovered the construction of universal identity and the use of social media and information technology in evangelism. She also heard the urgent cry for spiritual support for a growing CBC youth population. The paper's thesis is that a model can be developed to reach suburban Chinese-Canadian youth (SCCY), ages 14-18, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. First the paper defines suburbia, its characteristics, history and trends. Next the project's theological foundations are presented with the argument that the church can minister to SCCY. Relevant publications are reviewed. Toronto suburban living's impact on SCCY spirituality is examines.
