They met for eleven sessions of four hours over twelve months. A pre and post 360 survey, correspondence, field notes and session transcripts provided data that indicated positive development of the participants' missional leadership capacities. Experimentation, cohort learning and both experienced and local coaching were among elements that contributed to this development. A non-formal lay leadership training program can be implemented to provide adequate training to believers to become more mature and equipped for lay leadership to serve in the local church. It is concluded that The New Life Training Curriculums (NLTC) can be a great tool to use as the non-formal lay leadership training program. The most effective approach to reach the Vietnamese diaspora has shown to be through human relationship.
