The purpose of this study is to discover if the curriculum can be effective in the black Baptist church as presently designed. The thesis of this paper is the importance of Christian education in the church, most specifically the black Baptist church.  The method of doing this study is through personal interviews of directors, teachers, pastors and students who are affiliated with the center using the above listed curriculum. The method of study was a multiple case study in the descriptive mode.  This involved studying those particular churches having turned around from a small, established, declining congregation into a growing church with a 20 percent sustained increase within five years. The research yielded thirteen instrumental factors in the turnaround of a declining church into a growing church. The case study uses questionnaires to study the involvement of new Southern Baptist congregations, nine area Southern Baptist associations, the FNorth American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Billy Graham Association. The church planting project was successful with forty-nine of the fifty-one churches planted surviving. The project looks carefully at the mainline and subculture socio-demographics of Pasco County, mapping the possible Third-Place encounter points and assigning them to districts. By hermeneutically creating cultural narratives of each district, churches can train personnel cross-culturally to enter these Third-Place setting with gospel fluency contextualized to a culture or subculture.
