This issue is still pending. The project seeks to develop interreligious dialogue between these two groups through an exploration in Focolare Spirituality, a spirituality of unity. Focolare Spirituality aims to promote universal fraternity and to achieve a more united world in which people respect and value diversity. The project deals with four dialogues: dialogue with religious leaders who are related to this issue, Catholic Church’s teachings on interreligious dialogue, dialogue between religion and culture in Korean context, and dialogue with the Focolare spirituality in order to achieve the goal of mutual understanding and collaboration with Korean Muslims. In order to provide a theoretical framework for inter-religious dialogue, this project suggests a cross-cultural interpretation as a remedy that would serve to avoid cultural and religious struggles in Korean society. The project also explores a concrete example of cross-cultural interpretation. Yet such countries often lack proper training for missionaries. This project proposes to prepare 10 Korean families for cross-cultural evangelism in a 10-week program at Global Missionary Training Center in Seoul, Korea. Included in the project curriculum are research assignments and experiences designed to prepare these families for missionary life.
