The right interpretation of ancestral worship became a hot issue in the history of the Korean Church.  This project cultivated a practical theory of ancestral worship according to the biblical, theological, and liturgical perspectives of Christianity.  The project searched and analyzed the problem of ancestral worship through a questionnaire which was addressed to the ministers in rural, urban, and metropolitan areas. The project resulted in a far-reaching proposal for renewal of structure and strategy for the Presbyterian Church of Korea, some of which is being adopted at present.  The table of contents are: 1. the situation confronted by the Korean Church; 2. the theology of mission and Korean theological thoughts; 3. a responding mission community; 4. the Presbyterian Church of Korea's mission strategy as shown in survey results; and 5. mission strategy and plans for church renewal. The proposed model was tested with five selected test training groups and evaluated by trainee-evaluators of the same test groups.  The result was positive.
