'Gae chuck sok hui' (planting class meeting) begins with one leader who forms his own class meeting. Touching on etymological, biblical and church theological influences, Hwa Cheon First Church was the subject of research. Korean society needs the help of the Korean church. However, the Korean church may not be able to help Korean society because of its being turned in on itself and its numbers.  The Korean church needs an impetus in its own reformation.  Preaching can become an impetus of reformation. The project also explores the problems and issues facing Korean churches from the social science and missiological perspectives.  The project demonstrates the emerging issues of ecumenical debate in Korea through an analysis of the background theological literatures published by local members of the World Council of Churches.
