Systematic precautions against suicide in Korea, however, are insufficient compared to other developed countries. In the Korean military, suicide is the number one cause of death, and personal and family wounds caused by suicide are a major and difficult problem. The author researched suicide prevention education for chaplain assistants so that it could be more effective. Many topics were discussed, including what chaplain assistants can strive for in terms of suicide prevention for soldiers who are living together with them in the army. Even though the suicide-prevention system targeting the rank and file is quite well-organized and enforced, many officers are excluded from its reach. In recognition of this problem, I sought to test the feasibility of using a trial death education program as a means to help prevent suicide among the army officers. To this end, I designed and put to trial a program of death education especially for the officers within the Korean Army. The founding hypothesis of this study is that death education is capable of helping officers fight the suicidal urge by encouraging them to reflect on themselves and their lives better and more actively. 'Gae chuck sok hui' (planting class meeting) begins with one leader who forms his own class meeting. Touching on etymological, biblical and church theological influences, Hwa Cheon First Church was the subject of research. His congregation is made up of soldiers who are twenty to twenty-two and do not like the army life.  However, the soldiers encounter religions by choice in the military service.  Many soldiers come into contact with Christianity.  The author has thought about what these young soldiers want in their own spiritual lives and how the military church can help them. The author therefore asked the following questions regarding military mission in the light of pastoral care: (1) What is the meaning of military service for men, and what is the meaning of the period of military service in the life cycle?  (2) What is the soldiers' life before enrollment in military service, and what do they think of their lives after their service is completed? Many Korean scholars and pastors are prone to prohibit divorced people from actively participating in the life of the church because scholars and pastors perceive this as God's will. One of the major obstacles to ministering to divorced young adults in Korea is the secular view of the world. Most Korean adults grew up in the Confucian culture, a patriarchal system. This means that women are marginalized and are powerless people in Korean society. In this system, divorce does not exist because women do not have rights as humans, the constituting members of society. However, contemporary young adults grow up in a culture influenced by the western lifestyle, which has a system that believes that men and women are equal. Divorce is a common thing for young adults as a choice for a better life. The Korean churches and their pastors should work on overcoming the generation gap in the conception of divorce. In ancient times women did not have the same rights as they have now. Moses put the law in the book of Deuteronomy to protect women's rights. St. Paul in his letters shows that men and women have equal rights as human beings because God makes us as equal creatures, and that men and women are both children of God. Current Korean congregations, in order to prepare for God's work, must face two conflicting problems in Korean society: the cultural values held by its older members, and the reality of a rapid increase in the annual divorce rate. The Korean church needs to provide a social-spiritual shelter for divorced young adults who, otherwise, would not associate with Korean congregations. Every pastor wants the church to be what God what it wants to be.  It is important how the church should grow and in which way it should nurture and guide its members.  Jesus selected disciples and trained them, so that he could send them as servants.  The Apostle Paul said that the fundamental way for persons to mature is through discipleship training.  The Korean church has grown quantitatively in a way which is unparalleled in any other country.  The zeal as people get together is so tremendous that the impact of church meetings such as morning prayer, night prayer, diocesan worship are incalculable.
