To accomplish the stated project, the project director identified three main goals. Each goal is further divided into phases to reach the stated goal. THe first phase for goal one consisted of research to identify essential discipleship skills and the best practices for connecting and communicating with pre-teens and early teens. The second phase of the first goal was to conduct a survey of the selected leaders to determine self-perceived strengths and weaknesses of the selected leaders in regarding their discipleship skills. The second goal was to develop curriculum for use in equipping selected leaders with essential discipleship skills. The first phase of this second goal was the completion of LeRoy Ford's Design for Teaching and Training. The second phase was to create a curriculum for equipping of essential discipleship skills. The final goal was equipping leaders with discipleship skills. The project director researched the field of discipleship to determine discipleship methodologies and essential skills practiced by women's ministry leaders in multicultural churches. Information from this research was used to develop the curriculum for a seminar presented at Suburban Baptist Church to equip participants with essential skills to disciple women of other cultures. The seminar consisted of four ninety-minute sessions encompassing two consecutive Saturdays. To accomplish this purpose, the project director researched the area of disciple-making movements and Discovery Bible Study method. The project director produced a summary report of disciple-making movements and Discovery Bible Study and created a list of Discovery Bible Study competencies. The project director also researched workshop models and constructed a comparative analysis. The summary report, list of competencies, and comparative analysis were used to develop a workshop that equipped selected attenders of Life Point Community Church, Mansura, Louisiana, with Discovery Bible Study competencies. The workshop was comprised of five sessions lasting one hour each. The project director procured the help of experts in Discovery Bible Study methodology and curriculum development to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of this project. The project director will gather information from a demographic study of the towns of Jonesboro-Hodge. Interviews with local officials will also be conducted in defining the ministry context of Hope Chapel. The director will interview leaders from several churches comparable to Hope Chapel to identify effective disciple-making practices. The project director will work with a project team of six individuals from Hope Chapel to develop a disciple-making strategy. The project team will assist the project director in exploring the demographics and data in and around Jonesboro-Hodge, in identifying disciple-making models of churches with similar characteristics as Hope Chapel, and developing a disciple-making strategy for Hope Chapel.
