The thesis asks if it makes any difference to the work of the psychotherapists that they have a religious foundation. The results demonstrated a distrust of expressing an overt Catholic identity, as well as highlighting Northern Ireland to be more post-modern in its culture as it is post-conflict. In this DMin project a Church of Ireland bishop examines the long-term historical background to such events under four main headings of politics, economics, religion and education.
