The hypothesis was that when the rural church closes the gap between personal use of media-technology and the use of media-technology in ministry, the result would result in growth.  This project was composed of three stages: recruiting rural clergy and church leaders (Elders/Deacons, Christian Education, Music), having these individuals complete a survey, and obtaining feedback in the form of focus groups.  The recruitment phase provided helpful information from the pastors through completion of the survey as well as submitting names of their leaders.  The second phase helped the researcher obtain the data necessary to formulate accurate detailed information.
