Christians' hesitancy to approach Arab Shi'a, couples with fear, misunderstanding, cross-cultural and language barriers, and a dearth of knowledge of this unique Islamic sect are major challenges to address and obstacles to overcome. A historical analysis of Christian approaches attempted during the past thirteen centuries have failed to adequately equip Christians to become more effective witnesses with Muslims. This research attempts to identify principles of witness with Muslims and some possible starting points for developing a Christian theology addressed to the Muslim's frame of understanding.
