The researcher studied the scriptures and identified three traits of biblical evangelism found within both the Old and New Testaments. Using the Diffusion of Innovation Theory as theoretical grounding, the researcher then developed and taught a six-week evangelism seminar and mentored five Air Force members on evangelism. The researcher conducted phenomenological interviews with the seminar attendees and mentees. The author used mixed research methodology to find quantitative and qualitative results from the local church that he pastored, Chinese Christian Union Church-West (CCUC-W), and four other Chicago area churches. Based on the available data, both the quantity and quality index of CCUC-W were low, and this information was a danger signal of decline. The pastor needed a new approach to guide this church to healthy growth. Absent fathers have had a destructive effect on the home and community.  It's important that African-American men understand and assume their roles as leaders in the home. Governmental programs to stem this destruction have failed to address the root issue. The clear declaration of the gospel changes people's hearts (1 Cor 1:21). The data was then compiled into a format that is easy to understand and engage. Modern teaching resources which have proven to be effective in training students were employed in developing the new curriculum. The research seeks to: 1. Explore the biblical basis of the single-parent family, 2. Understand the needs and issues of the single-parent family, 3. Explore the influence of the redeeming grace of Christ to the single-parent family, 4. Provide care workers with practical goals and methods when working with the single-parent family, and 5. Manifest the love of Jesus through church-caring ministry to comfort the single-parent family and strengthen their hope and trust in Christ. Using the approaches found in theology and scripture on caring for single-parent families, this qualitative study examines four categories of single-parent individuals: widowed, divorced, unmarried mothers, and pseudo-singles. This project develoepd a faith-based strategy to equip ministers with knowledge of crisis ministry and how it will affect them.  The training offers information and skill sbaout caring for themsleves and others in crisis.   During the immediate crisis response, the State Board of Missions provided intervention specialists to come alongside the ministers for support.  When the effects of the stress seem to be hampering the minster's  overall well-being the intervention specialist refers to mental health professionals for more definitive care.  Followiong th eimmediate crisis minstry, the State Board of Missions offered pastoral care services and a retreat for the purpose of renewal and recovery in a group setting. Using an anonymous online survey and with the assistance of Boston Baptist College, graduates of the Boston Baptist College were asked to gauge the involvement of their home church in their precollege development as spiritual leaders. The project director developed eight Sunday school best practices from a survey for the '2012 Georgia's Fastest Growing Sunday Schools.'  The project director developed the survey results into a training curriculum and enlisted and trained a group of adult Sunday school leaders in a workshop held over four weeks.
