Religious images considered are those of the Christ, and the Virgin Mary and Christ as Mother and Child. An image-centered theoretical base is posited: iconography of Eastern Orthodoxy; Jungian-analytical psychology; and object relations theory emphasizing D W Winnicott. The importunity of three individuals' religious image experiences weaves together and integrates elements from spiritual and psychological perspectives. Thus, iconic image is uniquely wrought and in each person becomes a new creation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133018271776768,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:12:36.793Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:02:23Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:12:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"031503f7-4e5a-4f42-a7b5-9d075d1544fc","accessControl_ssim":["eb4ddde1-7f8f-4463-8d97-1362cc935656"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Drama of the soul: a psychological study of archetypal themes of individuation in fairy tales and the Bible as story"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:02:22Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:12:21Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["42a2bcb8-8ebb-4044-8389-93ad2b48f5f5"],"hasLease_ssim":["0f2071e6-043f-401b-9661-66bfd501b9a8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["Paul Huss"],"year_tesim":["1990"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Alan W Grant"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Faith development","Archetype (Psychology)","Psychology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christianity is founded not upon abstract theological principles, but in experience related through story. The biblical sagas were mythic containers of truths which were primary and immediate. Their relevance to the journey of the individual soul was unquestioned. This is no longer true. The historical progression of western Christianity has led to a constrictive orthodoxy based upon assent to stated dogma. A return to faith as primary inner experience requires a rediscovery of symbols and archetypal themes as they are carried in myth and fairy tales. Jungian psychology provides insights into this enterprise and suggests possibilities for parish renewal."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133025504854016,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:12:43.690Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:51:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:23:37Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"8259e978-796a-4c76-b0ee-4fa9bed7b2c5","accessControl_ssim":["b359e1f6-92e4-4aed-ad7c-bd6f04adfb99"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Theological implications of Hilde Bruch's theory and treatment of primary anorexia nervosa"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:51:34Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:58:40Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2fe7761a-df82-44c4-ade1-e089151d1a98"],"hasLease_ssim":["d5d36557-17d3-4c31-a307-630cdced22d8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["C Henry"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Dan R Bottorff"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Developmental psychology","Faith development","Anorexia nervosa","Bruch, Hilde","Case method","Psychotherapy","Psychology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Brooks.
