Working with ill, aging and dying persons can be stressful.  Caregivers often face personal and professional losses while in a caregiving environment.  The need for support through grief education is essential for new and experienced caregivers alike. Training is most helpful when the caregiver is able to talk about personal feelings, beliefs and experiences; learn about phases of bereavement and grief responses; and apply these insights in typical caregiving situations. The intended audience includes ministers and laity presently involved in or hoping to be involved in a visitation ministry with those who are dying.  The method used was a twelve-hour training program.
