This research uses a focus group interview method to record individual conversion narratives. The literature review focuses on the mission of the church, evangelism, conversion, the Holy Spirit's role in conversion, and evidences of conversion. The findings are threefold. First, conversion narratives at Vineyard Church of Columbus do not reflect traditional evangelical conversion categories. Second, the narratives did reflect a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Data was analyzed from 242 surveys and 92 extensive interviews from Estonian-speaking and Russian-speaking persons, from twelve nationalities, professing Christian conversion since the collapse of Soviet communism.
