The model looks into the biblical and historical context of the church as a relational community to discover life together as an extended spiritual family. The form and function of the church paradigm is traced from its biblical origins through the church's history to the present postmodern renewal. Of the four core values it seems that community has been the most difficult to apply. Faculty, staff, and administration are inundated with schedules, assignments and time restraints that make it challenging to pursue community life; among each other as well as the community at large which includes the student body. The project focused on the work of an international small group whose purpose was to enhance community life at the seminary.
