The data that were collected and analyzed revealed that the Christian believers know, believe and will trust God to heal them through these various forms of healing, but there was some hesitancy when it came to their attitudes concerning the invasive and non-invasive surgery healing. Purpose: To develop a health promotion manual for Black Baptists. Methodology: Document the health status of African Americans; complete a secondary analysis survey data set on 1,327 Black Baptists, and develop and evaluate the manual. Results: A manual that positively influences health behavioral change among Black Baptists, through an interdisciplinary faith-health approach to improve health that can be used in congregational settings. A questionnaire was disseminated and the results indicate that spiritual vitality is considered essential to doing the job of a Christian Navy Medicine chaplain.  The overwhelming majority of participants also indicated that practicing time management and self-care are extremely important.
