The project director developed and delivered a seminar on mentoring and a retreat on coaching for the purpose of introducing participants to a sixty-day biblical peer mentoring relationship. The project was evaluated by participants' performances on a cumulative examination, covenant and goal statements, and individual interviews following the sixty-day period. This project identifies ways to motivate the hearer to adopt the action and attitude of the text utilizing standard research practices. Like many churches today, it is in danger of becoming internally focused. Because the church faces new challenges in an ever increasing post-modern culture, the project director attempted to begin a conversation about the positive impact on evangelism that an externally focused church can have. To begin this conversation, the project director taught a six-session seminar to twelve adult leaders of Seminary Baptist Church and preached a four-sermon series. The ministerial staff and congregation participated in this project by completing a 360 degree survey of the participants.  The project director presented the results to the ministerial staff in coaching sessions. The concept of the risen Christ as the beginning of the new creation was used to affect the participants' formation in four areas: care for material creation, care for our physical bodies, proper understanding of God-centered worship, and continual dependence on Christ our Shepherd. Participants were tested before and after the project and showed much of the desired formational improvement. The conduct of this project included interpersonal communication surveys of the participants, six hours of instruction in interpersonal communication, followed by a written examination. The participants were then evaluated by the project director in the practice of their interpersonal communication skills within a small group setting. The ministerial staff and congregation participated in this project by completing a 360 degree survey of the participants. The project director presented the results to the ministerial staff in coaching sessions.
