The present educational and ministry models of the church are not balanced, strategic, and intentional to transform the poor communities. In response to the problem, the researcher employed phenomenology and grounded theory as the methods of study and thus he developed a Christ-centered educational and ministry model (CEMM) that has the potential to bring holistic transformation. This model is built on the concept that transforming self is foundational to transforming society. This project is qualitative in nature; case study research was the primary methodology employed. A biblical theology of inter-cultural community was defined focusing on spirituality, hospitality, and missionality. Ethnographic tools were utilized to determine the emic perspective of the multi-cultural setting of Bethel Christian Fellowship. Characteristics of inter-cultural leaders in a multi-cultural setting were discovered. Transformational dynamics needed to shift a local church to an inter-cultural mindset were described.
