The researcher presents a historical case study in which he examined biblical, theological and missiological foundations for indigenous church planting. He then presented the historical narrative of the Christian \u0026 Missionary Alliance work in Guinea from 1918 to 2005. Elements that contributed to the indigenous expression of the developing church included: vision and intentionality, sacrifice and commitment, godly lifestyle, identification with nationals, commitment to leadership development, unity among diverse tribal groups, and external political and social influences."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fccbc3d7-874c-42e3-8a20-621b107c56c7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133047529144320,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:13:04.695Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:07:14Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:13:25Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"69a099d0-da08-41ce-aa25-465e19dee23f","accessControl_ssim":["b44ea1e1-f7d8-4e11-9a80-c41a8f5eced1"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Creating a process to develop the lives and leadership contributions of short-term mission participants"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:07:12Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:13:25Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["02af0098-cdfb-4d00-b3d1-8e3d5703bc9f"],"hasLease_ssim":["a4184adf-b7ef-46da-9041-1fb6f83888f3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Jeanine Parolini"],"year_tesim":["2014"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Janet Kay Findley Farley"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Short-term missions","Missions--Study and teaching","Missions--Theory","Lay missionaries"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The problem this thesis addressed was the lack of understanding by lay missionaries and lay leaders of how God has shaped their lives for their unique leadership contribution through short-term mission trips. The data was analyzed by examining it through coding in order to derive a grounded theory of the phenomenon of short-term missions.
