Data was collected from interviews of twenty pastors.  Content analysis was then applied to the interviews to evaluate surface patterns, shared experiences, uniquenesses, etc.  Some problem areas such as professional versus personal, schedule demands, personality factors, and a mechancial approach to spiritual disciplines are discussed. In a survey using a Likert scale questionnaire plus a fill-in section, 92 chaplains who retired from the Navy from 1980-1985 were questioned concerning their attitude toward denominational assistance at time of retirement, their experiences in making the transition and their feelings about having served in the military. People associated with Mennonite churches in Winnipeg are the focus of this study. The study works with two hypotheses: first, there is domestic violence among Mennonites, and second, that people in abusive situations turn to the church for help. The research group was a random sampling of eleven American Baptist churches in the San Diego area.  A questionnaire was given to determine the believer's level of participation in, attitude towards, and understanding of the Lord's Supper.  Those in the top twenty percent and bottom twenty percent were given Pittard's Revised Commitment Test. The null hypothesis stated that there will be no significant differences in selected personality traits between people who continue in a disciple-making ministry and people who do not.  The method involved administering a biographical data sheet, a twenty-question religiosity survey and the multidimensional personality questionnaire to a sample group of 120 individuals who had been involved in disciple-making ministry.  The mean scores of the sample group were compared with the general population mean scores. Both groups were pre-tested with the Templer Death Anxiety Scale and the Lester Attitude Toward Death Scale and post-tested with the Templer Death Anxiety Scale and the Collett-Lester Fear of Death Scale.  The null-hypothesis was confirmed: the educational module was not statistically significant in altering death and dying fear/anxiety in the treatment group. Research included a scriptural study of baptism and the Spirit using charismatic and non-charismatic sources and interviews with thirty people who claimed the experience.  The author compared an analysis of the experiences with the results of the scriptural study to determine if an alternate to charismatic theology could be offered. This project tests the presence of nine ministry models or role-sets in the Conference through a random survey of senior pastors, laity, Bethel Seminary faculty, national and district leaders. Biblical research does not uncover any conclusive information which favors either system. Research of post-biblical history to the present day favors the rotation system as it is rooted in the reformers Calvin and Knox.  The Presbyterian Church in America which is used as a control group is divided evenly in its choice of systems.  The rotation system serves the local church more effectively than does the permanent
