A praxis that involves dialogical and critical reflection and discernment on the fellowship around the meal table, the table of the Word of God, and the table of the Eucharist.  This undertaking aims to bear fruit in an enlivened Christian discipleship that is solidly grounded in the Word of God, enriched with cultural values, celebrated in meaningful Eucharistic worship, actualized in charity and solidarity, and in the work for justice and liberation, reconicliation and peace. An integral faith formation n the context of Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) is offered consisting of such elements as pakikisalo kay Jesus (partaking of Jesus's life), and pagsasalo sa jhapag ng kagandahang loop ng Diyos through pagsalo (partaking in God's bountiful banquet of grace through the exercise of collective responsibility, solidarity, and communion). This proposed program intends to contribute to the realization of the vision of the Philippine church--a 'Community of Christ's Disciples' and a 'Church of the Poor', actively engaged in the mission of 'renewed integral evangelization.' The nature of this thesis-project is to explore and enhance the Eucharistic spirituality of liturgical ministers in the context of a retreat. A praxis-theory-praxis model of theological reflection based on the method of Thomas Groome is employed. Current spirituality is named and critiqued by the metaphor of the Eucharist as gift-exchange. This use of this metaphor is a theologically sound image capable of enhancing the religious imaginations of those who serve their liturgical assemblies. The methodology is derived from a process proposed by James and Evelyn Whitehead in Method in Ministry. The argument is made that Anglicans should be provided the same access to Roman Catholic Eucharistic communion as that provided to members of the Orthodox churches. Alternatively, it is argued that Anglicans be invited to receive Eucharistic communion at specific Roman Catholic liturgies that they are invited to attend, including marriages, funerals, and baptisms.
