It is articulated with conviction that the integration of faith and culture is the way to proceed in such a context. Since this project is built on practical theology, the underlying method employed is praxis-theory-praxis. Ethnographic method of participant observation is utilized not just as an anthropological method but also as a ministerial way of doing theology. The author examines BLS in the light of practical theology, using the model and method of James D. and Evelyn Eaton Whitehead.  This method of theological reflection places Christian tradition, experience, and the resources fo culture in dialogue, suggesting a framework for discussing building and/or renovation of churches, as set forth in BLS.  A rationale reflecting a habitus of practical theology develops.  Pastoral strategies arise from this rationale. Using Groome's method of practical theology, 'Shared Christian Praxis,' the author conducted a case study in a Chicago parish, meeting with adults at a separate location while their children took part in the catechesis.
