Six men who were involved in Christian men's mentorship ministry programmes in Jamaica were interviewed to ascertain what social benefits, spiritual benefits, and personal development benefits can be derived from a men's mentorship programme in the Jamaican context. The study is a basic qualitative research. An interview schedule was developed and administered over a two month period, the data was analyzed, and benefits/themes identified. The methodology includes a questionnaire and focus group involving tertiary level Caribbean students, as well as interviews.  The research detects a paradigm shift in core values, a technology-led change in morality and apparent breakdown in responsiveness and leadership in key social institutions, and determines that family, school, and church are still vital in transmitting wholesome values and restoring a society's moral equilibrium. What pastors see when they look at the biblical text is limited and enriched by context. This project examines context using a specific biblical text, Psalm 87, by creating interaction between Palestinian Christian scholars, pastors, and laypeople and their work with this text. This involved three contexts of interacting with Psalm 87 to meet this purpose: researching the work of western and Palestinian scholars, teaching a doctor of ministry class, and creating a Facebook group to stimulate inter-cultural dialogue.
