This project focuses on three congregations and how they responded to the inclusion of popular culture in worship and small group studies. This report surveys three churches that engaged popular culture as a lens through which to encounter God and a way to see God active in the world around them. This project focuses on the importance of theological reflection in the reentry stage of the experience. Theories of faith development and sociological understandings of cultural awareness offer insight into the process of transformation.
