The research was made through personal interviews, personal meetings, leader's retreats, and new immigrant training; I was able to learn from immigrant members, immigrant leaders, governing body personnel, sessions and pastors of Anglo churches. Four areas were identified in this project that affect the life and mission of the church to become racially/ethnically inclusive: Cultural Challenges, Legal Challenges, Financial Challenges, and Theological Challenges. Bosch's reading of the Gospel of Matthew, in dialogue with the Committee on Evangelism and Church Development of the Presbytery of Tampa Bay, in the hope to visualize from a theological perspective the contribution that immigrant groups can bring to the mainline traditions. However, Jesus' intention for his disciples was to be a 'people who' embodied the gospel.  This project identifies the dominant scripts guiding many congregations, suggesting an alternative script including being a contrast society, participating in the mission dei, living as disciples, and understanding ourselves as 'family members' in the household of God.
