The method of research was a qualitative research. In 2005, six interviews were conducted, each with a staff person responsible for family ministry in a large evangelical church. Implementation of family ministries varied due to the churches makeup and vision. All staff persons mentioned their focus is on preventing family problems rather than solving them through counseling. The author discovered 'missing pieces' pertaining to interrelationships among family members, in each counseling theory considered, and found that many of those 'missing pieces' were present in Scripture.  The author's goal is to integrate theology with counseling theory in the form of curriculum.
