Following are some of the major theological issues from the text: Christology, the Law, faith and deeds, and spiritual growth.  The author concludes that the epistle of James is a thoroughly Christian work that fits the setting of the dispersion of Acts 8. The questionnaire 'Officer Training Evaluation' was developed and given to all current officers and to the men who had completed officer- training class but did not submit to ordination.  Results of the evaluation suggest that changes made because of this project improved the officer training process and aided in the relationships between the elders and deacons and between the session and the board of deacons. To test this hypothesis, the author accepted the job of 'Missions and Evangelism Pastor' of a 1000 member church with the goal of establishing a daughter church in a years time.  Cultural barriers were largely neutralized and an indigenous church was established in just over a year.
