While not all churches fall under this generalization, the evidence presented in this project suggests many fail to celebrate or acknowledge the Spirit's presence in their worship services, sermons, and classes. However, the research conducted in this project shows a positive relationship between a biblical course on the doctrine of the Spirit and an increased knowledge of the doctrine, positive attitudes toward the Spirit, and an increased personal reliance upon the Spirit. The researcher selected these two case studies because they demonstrated a determination to evangelize their communities with the gospel. This passion manifested into a desire to minister to more people through a new worship service. The research format was both qualitative and quantitative in nature as the researcher used quantitative surveys, open-ended questions, personal interviews, church campus visits, and archival data analysis to develop a deeper understanding of the planning process. This researcher believed two factors contributed to a successful launch of a new worship service: clear, consistent communication by leadership and unity in the leadership team.  Research concluded this hypothesis was true. This researcher believes missionally-minded, evangelical churches often lead the way by breaking free of ineffective methods, reinventing the way ministry is done. It was anticipated that the selected churches would have: a professionally trained appointed leader and trained laypersons; a safe environment for hope and healing; a clear pathway for people to find help; and the churches would use both prepackaged and their own written programs/materials. The research method and design was a case study of these three churches using interviews, direct observations and documentation such as websites and print materials. The goal was to gather the best practices from these church ministries and prayerfully seek to directly apply various organizational and functional traits to Wildwood Community Church in Norman and in the surrounding areas. This research sought to discover how the selected churches structure and execute their care and counseling ministries. In addition, this research endeavored to learn new ways of incorporating staff and laypeople as leaders and workers in Wildwood's Care and Counseling Ministry. A descriptive survey designed by the researcher generated a 41% response rate from the 923 women who graduated from Dallas Seminary from 1977-2003.  The survey included demographic and placement information, an inventory of thirty-two leadership challenges, and questions related to the graduates' relationships with seminary faculty, male students, and their co-workers in ministry.
