One hypothesis of this research was that there was a relationship between the level of risk and the level of trust which are contributing factors empowering Airmen. The second hypothesis was that there was a relationship between the level of respect and the level of leadership which are contributing factors empowering Airmen. Purposeful, criterion sampling provided females pastors who had or did not have mentors during seminary-to-church transition and women who mentored female pastors during the mentees' transitional periods. Data collection involved face-to-face interviews. Findings indicated that women pastors encountered ministry adaptation, competency, and fulfillment problems during seminary-to-church transition. The literary review surveys some of the key literature concerning church planting, some of the most critical literature concerning coaching, and the literature specifically geared towards the coaching of church planters. The research procedure defines the case study interview questions and church planter surveys used to prove the hypothesis. The project includes a literature search on the subject of 'mentoring', a survey of pastoral internship opportunities offered by a representative group of evangelical seminaries and graduate schools of theology, a comparative analysis of three local church internship programs similar to the effort at Blue Church, and detailed appraisals of the six internships already served at Blue Church, carried out by means of personal interviews with each former intern.
