These specialists identified an association between pastoral leadership style, the presence of a compelling vision that identified how the church should look in the future and key actions that would result in the cessation of the decline and initiation of revitalization.The readers will discover that there is an association between the visionary leadership of the pastor and the principles used to impact at least eight different spheres of the ministry that have been entrusted to him.This dissertation defined “visionary leadership” as leadership that inspires people to change because of two things: the Senior Pastor’s model and message. The project will examine the role the of selected senior pastors and the impact of their visionary leadership on the revitalization of a declining church.The primary means of investigation and research in this project was the use of eight case studies of pastors, which will assess their leadership style and its impact on revitalization. Some of these pastors entered their churches more than twenty years ago, and some began three years ago. This research examines six selected metrics for pastoral leadership which are associated with sustainable church health. The body of this dissertation makes six propositions for qualitative research. The research continues with a presentation of three case study churches, including interviews of leaders within each church. First, a literature review surveys writings on leadership succession from both the secular and Christian perspectives, with an examination on the biblical insights and a theological framework for leadership succession. The second part of the dissertation covers the qualitative research procedure used in this project through the case study method and its strengths and weaknesses. The third part of the dissertation reports the case study research findings from the three case studies Chinese heritage churches that have completed what is deemed as successful internal senior pastor’s succession considering the four hypotheses. The final section draws out the applications from the research that can be applied to any church considering internal leadership succession with a special focus on the needs of Chinese heritage churches in America. This research consisted of three parts: (1) Clarification of theological views that hinder Jewish evangelism; (2) Surveys to detect the reasons why evangelism is not done; (3) Interviews with Arab leaders and one messianic pastor to gain their perspective on the reasons why Arab brothers and sisters are not evangelizing to the Jews.This project had three hypotheses:•There is a lack of Jewish Evangelism from the Arab Christians toward the Jewish people in Israel because of the difference in culture and politics.•There is a lack of Jewish Evangelism from the Arab Christians toward the Jewish people in Israel because of a lack of knowledge in how to do it.•There is a lack of evangelism from the Arab Christians toward the Jewish people in Israel because of their belief in replacement theology.The first two surveys were given to Arab Christian leaders and believers of churches from Israel. The surveys focused on their spiritual life, politics, the land of Israel, and Zionism. They ended with asking about their engagement in Jewish evangelism. I hoped to discover whether Jewish evangelism exists and if not, why.The surveys and interviews of the Arab leaders and pastors in Israel evaluated whether the hypotheses were correct and helped discover the next steps for change regarding Jewish evangelism from our Arab brothers and sisters in Israel. The surveys and interviews supported my hypotheses. Other issues that might hinder Arabs from sharing the gospel with Jews in Israel were found as well. A descriptive survey was conducted. The study identified the enormous impact of Confucianism on the leadership challenges of SBC alumnae. The alumnae's top ten leadership challenges include overcommitment, burnout, perfectionism, overly high expectation of oneself, balancing family and ministry, balancing motherhood and ministry, conflict resolution, implementing change in ministry, decision making, and excessive concern over the criticism toward oneself.
