The conclusion reached in the study conformed the intervention increased the participant's attitude (feelings) towards God's mission in the workplace. Six sermons preached at Clear Wather Church in Anchorage, Alaska were prepared with the help of a feed-forward group and compared to six sermons prepared without input. Listeners assessed the transformational quality of each sermon by completing a listener survey. There was no statistically significant difference in how the listeners assessed either set of sermons. Four small groups produced a custom-made lectionary, collected related reference materials, and provided the pastor with weekly exegetical and presentation ideas, supporting materials, and feedback on proposed sermons. The pastor's increase in satisfaction and reduction in frustration with the overall sermon preparation process indicated positive change. Ten sermons were preached: five were formatted inductively, and five deductively.  Retention of data presented was measured by a ten-question test which was administered immediately following each sermon presented.  Each test consisted of eight true or false and two multiple choice questions.  Statistical t-tests were used to compare the mean score of the inductive and deductive sermon formats. The hypothesis was D plus S would be greater than S (D=drama and S=sermon).  The results of the study (which included well-defined control and experimental groups, and 1,397 individual surveys) lent confirmation to the positive effect of drama as an effective teaching aid. The hypothesis was that there would be no difference between postsermon test results following traditional sermons and test results following sermons divided into four parts.  The author presented six sermons in each format.  Following the worship services randomly selected persons completed a 20-question multiple-choice test to determine content retention.  T-tests of grand mean scores for tests following each format revealed no significant difference in levels of comprehension.
