Groups of young adults participated in a mission-biased experiential curriculum over 16 weeks. Nineteen groups were located in nine cities around the U.S. Quantitative research was done before and after the indepth interviews were done after the sixteen weeks, in order to assess participants' experience of community. This project taught an approach to couple prayer utilizing the communication skills previously learned in Couple Communication I combined with the Prayer of Examen as a means of reducing defensiveness in couples as they share and pray together about their growing awareness of God. Twelve Christian married couples participated in a twelve week program involving group sessions and homework. This study measured whether there was an increase in marital satisfaction, spiritual well-being and self differentiation. Findings from this study did not show that emotional expressiveness played an important role in marital satisfaction among the overseas Chinese subjects.  However, feelings of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness strongly predicted marital distress for the Chinese female subjects. Three passages from Paul's writings (Eph. 1:4-10; 4:1-16; and 1 Corinthians 12) were researched as they relate to cross-cultural partnerships characterized by grace, including Paul's views of community, use of gifts, use of power, and grace.  The theoretical issues researched focused on Geert Hofstede's dimensions of individualism, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance. The seminar included instructional content to guide assigned parent-adolescent interactions and attachment experiences.  A sample of 23 participants representing 18 family units attended six sessions over 11 weeks.  The Stereotypes of Adolescence Scale (Buchanan \u0026 Holmbeck, 1998) was administered. Results showed statistically significant change in pre- and posttest scores for 7 of 10 subscales. This researcher postulated that the use of enacted dramas in order to introduce messages would enhance the listener's/viewer's level of listening attention, translating into an enhanced retention of the message.  The research process extended over three periods, making a total of twelve testing weekends, and was conducted in De Pere, Wisconsin. The research administered the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) and four employee conflict resolution seminars to Christian school faculty members to measure relatively effective employee conflict resolution behavior.  There were no statistically significant results between pretest and posttest for the total group or for the men or women faculty.
