To do this, the project will explore the shift that has occurred in western society as it has moved from a modern to a postmodern cultural expression. The project is supported by statistical analysis, the evaluation of polling data, and a personal lifestyle inventory of each participant, which demonstrates the disconnect and cultural divide between the two entities. The analysis of this information will be disseminated and discussed. This project prepared a selected group of native believers to present a positive Christian witness in the context of native culture. Through participation in a seminar members of the group grew in their understanding of Christianity and culture. They acquired skills necessary to witness to nonreceptive and hostile people. The objectives are to orient the new pastors about ethnicity in the United States, to inform them about the Southern Baptist Convention and to lead them to contextualize the gospel, ecclesiology, and polity in their congregations. The research was done through a series of questionnaires and evaluations which influenced the content of the seminar. The seminar was planned and implemented as a two-hour seminary course. The church has lacked sufficient teachers to cover the needs in the Sunday School classes. This project was designed to train six to eight persons as teachers for young people and adults.  The areas of training chosen were the privileges and responsibilities of a Sunday School teacher, the revelation of the redemptive message of salvation, regional differences of the Spanish language and culture, basic methods of teaching, the organization of Sunday School classes, and characteristics of the adult and young people groups.  Preparation for the project included research, writing of a prospectus, selection of materials, church planning, and enlistment of trainees.  Implementation of the project covered a six-week period. The evaluation was conducted through the use of three kinds of questionnaires filled out by the trainees. The paper carefully chronicles the months of preparation.  It includes all correspondence between the author, the liaison representative and the chairman of the crusade.  A portion of the text is dedicated to the unique cultural practices which must be respected when a project of this size is attempted.  The project clarifies many of the details involved in conducting a cross-cultural evangelistic crusade.
