It produces unique problems for Protestant chaplains who have an earnest desire to enlist service men and women for discipleship training.  The ministry project included a twelve-week workshop.  Resources for the project incorporated books and articles on discipleship and information obtained through personal interviews with officers and men of USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70). The project resulted in the participants gaining an understanding of discipleship and learning guidelines to enhance their spiritual lives.
