By involving the members in a training program the project sought to achieve in participants: 1. awareness of personal attitudes toward Mormon people; 2. positive attitudinal change in attitudes toward Mormons; 3. greater knowledge of Mormon doctrine and biblical doctrine; and 4. an ability to personally witness to Mormons.  Sedlacek's Situational Attitude Scale was altered and administered to both a project and a control group.  The project group also took a pre-test and post-test on Mormon and biblical doctrine.  The doctrine testing instrument indicated that the third objective was clearly reached. Reporting by the participants indicated that the fourth objective was reached. Questionnaires to the community, church and other similar Southern Baptist churches were used to provide data. Information drawn from the results of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator also aided in the development of the plan.  The concept of 'church types' provided help in determining goals for the congregations. These illusions have helped create communication blocks in marriage relationships. The project was designed to cause a positive change in the interpersonal perception of individual members within their marriages.  Action research is the design methodology.  The Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis Test is the primary testing instrument.  Significant change occurred in three areas: attitudes, individual profiles, and selected temperament traits. A self-evaluating testing instrument, responded to by the participants in the first and last sessions, measured their growth in confidence as pastoral counselors.
