This is being undertaken to produce greater effectiveness in the preparation and training of new candidates. The agency's candidates are Christian professionals who are placed in very difficult fields. Increasing the effectiveness of pre-field selection and training will help insure long-term presence in these fields. An overview of biblical themes and a literature review found that there are many areas to identify and assess. The use of two survey instruments was employed to gather data from field leaders and workers. The process describes the journey to spiritual maturity following the model of human development from infancy to adulthood. Tremendous spiritual potential exists within many congregations in the lives of older saints to help others develop spiritually. This collaboration or clustering for mission and outreach, enables declining small churches to pool their resources so that in working together in both local and global outreach, they can reclaim their missional call.  This thesis-project demonstrates that after a season of study, discussion and fellowship together, church leaders realize that working together in mission will enable them to do together what they could not do alone.  This thesis-project presents the process, procedures, and study guides used in leading three small membership churches in a six week study of the missional church. The time is now to reintroduce the biblical and theological framework needed for revival to sweep across the America once again. But I must ask the question, 'Does the body of Christ desire to be renewed in their relationship with Jesus and share the Truth that transforms lives?' To answer this issue/question, I have developed a thesis-project called Time to revive: wake up tot he truth that transforms lives. This thesis-project contains four essential components - desire, design, disciple and divine - that serve as a model for any city interested in pursuing revival in our nation. With the conditions of revival (humility, prayer and fasting, seeking His face, and repentance) implemented in our lives, God has promised He will faithfully respond (2 Chronicles 7:14). However, God's response will vary in every location. When analyzing the effectiveness of a revival, in a location such as Sedona, Arizona, the most significant outcome is that the kingdom of God will be furthered by believers being revived, the lost are hearing the Good News of Jesus (evangelism) and being saved, and disciples are making disciples. These results occur not because of man's effort. These challenges can include financial and health concerns, future living arrangements, final wishes, and discovering the ultimate value of one's life. Tragically however, widows, widowers, the never-married and divorcees are often left to contend with such issues alone. Meanwhile, they may have adult children who will also be deeply affected by these issues, and are able to help. But that help rarely comes. Instead silence, ignorance, and misunderstanding prevail between the generations regarding the realities that will impact them both.  This project is an examination of these issues and the reasons that prevent aging parents and their adult children from discussing them constructively. Subjects were exposed to five different expository sermons in the two sermon forms and their responses to a questionnaire were collected the next day (N-1,000).  There was no significant difference between the sermon forms and the subjects ability to recall the big idea.  Narrative sermons are as equally effective as propositional sermons in recall.
