The revival methods at the heart of the controversy, along with the question of human ability in salvation, are analyzed from a biblical perspective. The methods of the two most prominent mass evangelists of the last sixty years, Billy Graham and Luis Palau, are also examined. Social analysis, study of urban Christian literature, relevant biblical texts, hexagoning and implementing ministries around the felt needs of urban Christian leaders were the methodology.  This research reveals that churches in Boston and Springfield are multiplying. The test group included the elders and deacons of the Peachtree City Church of Christ in Peachtree City, Georgia. The focal point of the project was an eight-week leadership class. Two measurement tools were used: the General Self-Efficacy Scale Shearer and the General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale. Significant increases were recorded in understanding of purpose. Corresponding to this increased mission clarity were minimal elevations in self-efficacy.
