The author was one of three designers and co-facilitators of this training. The project assesses the effectiveness of the course in enhancing interfaith leadership capacities and identifies twenty characteristics required of a competent leader in this emerging field. The methodology and data are based on interviews with 59 of the 61 participants in BAP II, along with interviews of the other co-facilitators."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Hartford Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8e52e4c8-38b6-4846-872d-a744b4f5725d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125997157875712,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:21:00.937Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:01:50Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:57:33Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"39821b10-27c9-4e1f-a532-fdfc476187aa","accessControl_ssim":["b400a3a7-cfc0-46f1-8a15-65e4c5e7d069"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Confirming Christian confidels: faith formation in a pluralistic world"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:01:49Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:48:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["0eebfc60-9af9-44e9-b88f-1333865b783f"],"hasLease_ssim":["9a4b003c-d5f2-44c1-91b3-d7ad4e3a49ec"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Jane I Smith"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Douglas R Norell"],"publisher_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Abrahamic religions","Church work","Religious pluralism","Christian education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project explores whether teaching with the 'Abrahamic lens' and 'deep religious pluralism' promotes coexistence while nurturing Christian faith. The Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam together provide a lens for transforming Christian education. The frame of deep pluralism reinforces both openness and faithfulness. Congregants become 'confirmed' (strengthened together) as Christian 'confidels' (with faith) as they faithfully emulate Christ's incorporative love and appreciate other traditions. The education project found that the Abrahamic lens and deep pluralism not only enables local changes but offers a useful model for the Church's wider ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Hartford Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8e52e4c8-38b6-4846-872d-a744b4f5725d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799719909819678720,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:57:34.720Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":2,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Douglas R Norell","hits":1,"label":"Douglas R Norell"},{"value":"Yehezhel Landau","hits":1,"label":"Yehezhel Landau"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Abrahamic religions","hits":2,"label":"Abrahamic religions"},{"value":"Christian education","hits":1,"label":"Christian education"},{"value":"Christianity and other religions","hits":1,"label":"Christianity and other religions"},{"value":"Church work","hits":1,"label":"Church work"},{"value":"Hartford Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Hartford Seminary"},{"value":"Leadership--Religious aspects","hits":1,"label":"Leadership--Religious aspects"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":2,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Hartford Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Hartford Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":2,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"2008","hits":1,"label":"2008"},{"value":"2013","hits":1,"label":"2013"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Hartford Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Hartford Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":2,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Hartford Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Hartford Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":2,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":2,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
