This project used narrative tools to reconnect the congregation to their biblical, communal and personal faith stories. The three tools were 1) a Lenten-Eastertide sermon series; 2) remembering the church's history using their 250th anniversary banners; and 3) an Appreciative Inquiry process. Using these narrative tools South Church successfully adopted a new way of seeing, hearing, thinking, and speaking in narrative form during a pastor transition."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Hartford Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8e52e4c8-38b6-4846-872d-a744b4f5725d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799719795170476032,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:55:45.382Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:00:50Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:22:34Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a903b683-4357-4397-b643-71a1b15c32ef","accessControl_ssim":["d4066953-6d85-4ce5-8880-bd934035ec6a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Spirituality and addiction recovery in prison: some tools for life"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:00:49Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:01:45Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["889390c8-5d76-48ef-b867-49e99aa9c3ab"],"hasLease_ssim":["6df15c12-12f5-4adf-87b5-090f327f3edf"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Efrain Agosto"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Charles F Williams"],"publisher_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with addicts","Church work with prisoners"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Addiction affects the lives of people by damaging their health, destroying their relationships, scarring their soul and altering their brain.
