Following his research the author analyzes similar components in the new church development he serves.  With the aid of A church planning questionnaire by Grayson L Tucker Jr, and added questions developed from the research, the writer measures his church against that of the rapidly growing new churches of the first three centuries.  Areas of similarity and weakness were identified. A CD of PowerPoint presentations form a planning process starting with the initial conception of a new Presbyterian church up to the first service, defined as 'instant church.' An accompanying form addresses crucial issues in light of a specific context. Min. project explored a number of issues and concepts about pastoral leadership in starting new churches that affect the growth and health of the new church.  It also tested a particular 'Profile of an Organizing Pastor' to see if it could predict which ministers would be most successful in starting new churches.  The research was a survey of the first pastors of non-racial/ethnic Presbyterian churches organized between 1982-1992.
